Leggings

I'm really not sure about leggings just yet...worn right, they're cute, worn wrong, hideous. More pressingly, (as pretentious as this might sound) girls at my school are starting to wear them, and thats a no-no for me. If its already an established trend at my school, which is the least fashionable place in the world, I generally like to steer clear.

the leggings look is great depending on how you wear them. on my college campus it's the typical denim mini with leggings (usually brown or gray) with flats or UGGS. it gives off a more Abercrombie/preppy feel. which makes me want to puke.

I see a lot of people posting pictures of footless tights...I personally dont consider those leggings.

But sometimes it's hard to differentiate textures when looking at internet images.. :flower:

depends because with a denim mini..it's o.d. ..i like the way marc jacobs does it in the psring collection..though it's more of a body suit?..but yeah i wanna try the pastel colors too

It's the same on my campus. Maybe it's just some sort of University ritual I haven't been informed of yet, where you have to pile on as many trends as possible (extra points for clashing). Personally if I see another denim mini/leggings combo I may consider Distance Education.

I second that

I second the notion^^^at first its cute but when the campus airheads adopt a look , makes me wanna puke:sick:

also think about

how is it attractive , like a black legging and a mini , its horribly tacky , like on a teen it might look cute ( and they can get away with quirky fashion) but for the 20 somethings and above its really tacky. :yuk:

wow. Kelly Osbourne is the definition of how to not wear leggings. Just eww.

I love my leggings, they look pretty good under a minidress I own. I hate, hate, hate when girls at school wear them under their school skirts. It looks horrible with our uniforms, and just plain tacky.

i just picked up a pair at american apparel last w/e. i haven't worked them into an outfit yet (20 deg w/ wind chill). i wore them to sleep last night, and they made me nostalgic ^_^ i felt like i was 12 again.

I have to say that I love the way leggings are not tight anymore

Which shoes or boots would you all put with the leggings/mini skirt combo to wear during the day. My problem is that I simply HATE flats... but sometimes, once you put heels with a mini skirt, it looks too dressy and like you've made too much effort.... Inspired ideas gratefully received!
