I agree that it is getting way too trendy, but with the right outfits and styling, it can be fabulous....

where can i get some actual leggings that are a kind of low-rise style? i got some from urban outfitters but they were tights and come up high on my waist (i am kind of short) where can i find thin black leggings, not tights?

Delias.com sells some that are low-rise, black, and go about mid-calf. They're pretty thin and tight for leggings, too, as opposed to tights.

It's been a trend for awhile. It's really popular in Japan and the look has definitely been circulating around New York for some time now.

ye it has, i thing it looks better with dresses than with minis- but ye it does stop the blue shiverring knees being shown in winter tho!

How cute does Michelle Williams look with baby Matilda?! I think this is one of the better ways to wear leggings (with a long tunic-type shirt). Does anyone know where to get a pair like these at the lowest possible price? Thanks!

Haha i remember last summer i cut the feet off some black tights and put on a sundress with them and was trying them on,but my sister said it looked silly so i never wore them.
I have some long ribbed black ones now,but they make my legs look too thin.

The styling here makes them look pretty heinous, but these leggings seem to be the ones that appeared on the runway.
