Lego Blocks S/S 08

I like the Lego brick accessories, but I think colour blocking is a bit hit and miss, TBH.

Done well it can look great, but done badly it can look unintentional and therefore, messy and/or dull and/or jarring, IMO.

I think surrounding the colour blocks with a unifying colour (or lack of colour), such as black, is a clever trick (which was famously used by Mondrian [below]) and can pull them together well. :)

Isn't this old news? It was big in SS07 as well...
Well, I think it's a trend that does come back somewhat frequently...but still a trend nonetheless.

Anyways, I love the Jil Sander and Marni looks. And, there's something about the Akris and Rue de Mail looks that I like a lot too.

The Marc by Marc on the other hand....:sick:
