is that emmy rossum there with him? i can't quite tell from the side...

Yes it is :)

I used to dislike him (because of that whole playboy image and such) but now, I really like him -he's an excellent actor and really deserves an Oscars...soon! Poor thing must be pissing in his pants.

He's getting serious about what? Dating more models?

i just watched The Departed..and he was FANTASTIC in that movie. The fact that he wasn't even nominated for an Oscar is a sin! !!

I just get wierded out when I see him with Emmy Rossum and Orlando Bloom and even Jude Law in The Aviator. My Leonardo fandom is far older than anything and it has always been this separate entity. I am not sure I like it. They are so celebrity and 'it' and he just separate.

I am going to bed before I sound any crazier.

I sort of know what you mean but think of it this way: 10 years ago people said that DiCaprio was going to be an "it boy" with 15 minutes of fame. Obviously he had the intelligence and the talent to prove them wrong. Who knows who will be able to do that in the future? I mean in 10 years we might be looking at one of those celebs who we now think is very "it" and current and saying that he/she proved them all wrong too.

Yeah that wasn't my point. I mean I don't mind Orlando but find him pointless and Jude is kinda sleazy and somewhat camp and Emmy along with Anne Hathaway has 'punch me' face (that is the reaction I get when I see either of them). Anyway my point is about Leonardo. He is doing the circuit so much it is bizarre. It is wierd seeing him as the statesman instead of the rookie. And he has a pervy look in his eyes now (note photo with Penelope and Beyonce on the last page). Whereas when he was screwing around when he was in his 20s it was kinda like 'oh boys will be boys' but now that debonair playboy aura has replaced the fun and he seems to be bordering on sleazy politician mode (albeit a very hot one). Just funny how things change.

I love Leo as an actor but I've found myself thinking the EXACT same thing lately. It's like you read my mind.

I love Leo as my childhood crush more than an actor. But when you live a certain lifestyle, it affects who you are and therefore the look in your eyes. Like Kate Moss' face, for all her beauty is starting to become hard. I am not sure I like jetset politican Leo ms_prissy!

For example - I think most people found it cute when he came on stage with Al Gore during the Oscars. But while it's good to see that he cares about important issues I couldn't help but cringe a little inside - it seemed so contrived and 'sleazy politician'. It's the same with him and Scorsese - they don't seem like peers (ie. like De Niro and Scorsese - it's never going to be like that in my mind, ever) it seems like he's kissing his you-know-what ALL the time. He's see it come across in the interviews he does (which are rare now) sometimes he comes across as sleazy, contrived and somewhat self-important.

Here's what one journalist had to say about interviewing Leonardo a while ago. I thought it was interesting: http://youtube.com/watch?v=JPTXVyQLjww

For me, it'll always be about his performances. Yes, he's one sexy, but I warmed to Leo later on (wasn't a fan during 'leo-mania').

Oh I don't think he is sleazy in that way. I think his politics are bang on and I think that the way he talks about Scorcese is just because our Leo seems somewhat square and uses the standard celeb talk... none of interviews are particularly interesting. He is just so reserved now but I guess you can't blame him. It is more that the suit and the gel don't really suit him and the womanising is starting to show as a glint in his eyes now. Nothing wrong with that but I just prefered Leo in his 20s

i think i preferred him in his 20's and late teens as well. i dislike his playboy/party boy image as well. i also think he should wear more sunscreen.

he looked great in the departed, but that was filmed over two years ago. he looks a lot different now.

STRIDE RIGHT
