What a bold move, too bad for Ford though

It just never ends with Ford. They develop a girl and then she bolts to another agency, the same story over and over. Also, this is a move that can be counterproductive for Lexi. As SpeakthatJDunn noted, IMG has soooo many top girls that it's easy to get lost in the shuffle. Look at Anja Rubic. Leaving Next was a mistake IMO.

Per Chanel Iman and Hanne Gaby: Chanel went to Supreme from Ford during that whole kerfuffle when Paul Rowland went to Ford and the entire prior Ford bookers bolted to Supreme. Then she went to IMG, which really hasn't done much for her. She's not really part of the high fashion scene any more and she certainly hasn't reached the commercial success of even someone like Candace Swanepoel.

Hannah left for IMG after Rowland got canned at Ford and all of its girls left in droves for other agencies. It's also debatable that IMG has done much for her career other than sustain it. IMG didn't elevate it in any manner.

I think it's more about the ways they help you outside of modelling: she has started doing styling gigs since plus had a shoe collaboration, got flown to Australia first class etc. Plus she just had her first blue chip campaign in probably 7 years so I think they do help a little. Interesting to see what they do for Lexi!

Why? What does she think IMG will do for her that Ford hasn't been doing? Unless she wants to do Victoria's Angels. Which I really don't see in her future at the moment.

Agree. Any agency that is constantly getting their girls to work with Meisel.. a slew of Vogue Italia covers.. blue chip campaigns, etc. is obviously doing something right. What a shame. As for VS.. I wouldn't be surprised if Ford is turning this down to keep Lexi strictly high fashion. The only thing IMG might do differently is make her a celebrity? But yet another girl that IMG poaches. They can't seem to develop and make a girl on their own. They always poach other agencies work.
