Watch out New York City!

Throughout her whole life, friends and family have been telling Carolyn to "get into modeling." She wondered about their comments, but never took them too seriously. While working out at a gym one afternoon, Carolyn was approached by a director from Battlestar Galactica and asked to be one of their body doubles. After working on the hit series for over a year, and hearing more suggestions from cast and crew members to "get into modeling," she decided to take a shot at what everyone was telling her to try.
Starting a little over six months ago, Carolyn signed with the modeling agency Lizbell and has been a fast success within Vancouver's fashion industry. Having a few shoots under her belt, Carolyn has modeled for Allison Wonderland's Fall 2009 Catalogue, Emily Miller's Fall 2009 Catalogue, and has done a few shows including one for the up and coming fabulous line, (212). Recently, at this year's Telus Festival, Carolyn rocked the catwalk for their annual fashion show. Along with many more shoots and shows, it is not hard to see that Carolyn loves what she does. "It is so cool when you're doing something and really loving it. I'll take modeling as far as I can and just see where this road goes. It's such a fascinating industry!"
Recently Carolyn flew down to New York City for some meetings that Liz, the owner and founder of Lizbell, had set up for her. She signed with an agency right away. "Then in the Summer, I'll move to New York City" she says laughing. She has only a few more weeks to go at the University of British Columbia before receiving her degree. What does the future hold for Carolyn? Well, soon she's going to be taking New York by storm, and will become a force to be reckoned with in the modeling world. Even though she's taking it day by day, Carolyn has dreams of starting her own business. Carolyn's life is influenced by music. Loving to sing and having played in bands, she feels that one day down the road she might do something within that industry as well.
Speaking highly of Lizbell Agency, Carolyn goes on to say that "Liz is a really wonderful agent. She really takes care of all of her models and cares about us. Amanda (our booker) is awesome too. She's always so on top of things". As well as modeling, Lizbell also offers services for those looking to get into acting and the arts. Carolyn truly loves the fashion industry, and after her career as a model will continue to stay entwined with this industry in Vancouver "No matter how things turn out, I can say I've learnt a lot and had such a privilege to meet a lot of really cool people"
