(worn by charlotte from SATC in the final series)

I love Sabbia Rosa lingeire! They look so elegant and sexy at the same time.

I think some of these pieces would look great as outerwear. Look at "Changing Sex Outfits", I have lots with Sabbia Rosa pieces mixed with Dior couture and Chloe shoes. ;)

I love kYlies underwear and the Marvel as well!!!!!!!!!!

For me La Perla, maybe a bit more expensive but def. worth it! They last a very long time and are sooo comfortable...

who in your opinion does the best lingerie...?
**please provide pics and a link if possible...

for me...
i have always liked chantal thomass...
http://www.underwear-options.com/chantalthomass.html
that is her at the bottom of the page...
her things are also sold at agent provocateur...

it's always very sexy but with a bit of a sense of humour...
ie-the painted red toenails on the hosiery...
and the illusion of the tiny panties on the larger panties...
it's just clever and fun...imo...

Oops..missed the "designer" part..

I like Agent Provocateur, its sexy and funny as well.

Some of the stuff is too rauchy for my liking, skanky some might say.
The shops are wonderful, with their naughty-sweet bordello (velvet interior, sexy kitten music, SA's in candy pink smocks open to show their AP bra and cleavage). Their site never bores me. http://www.agentprovocateur.com/

The colour combo's are often fun and unusual, too bad the fit isn't as good on me as Aubade's. I  Aubade's cut, but often I find their colour palette to be more geared for olive skin.

I haven't seen Chantal Thomass in ages, but I remember liking it a lot, thanks for sharing Softie :flower:

Aubade http://www.aubade.com/uk/ -which I mentioned above, take the most beautiful pictures of the female shape. Images from aubade.com :flower:

..again oops  I have no idea if there is one designer or if it is a collaboration between more designers.

glad you liked the chantal thomass images hanne...:flower:

i love everything you posted...
i guess i just mean on the 'designer' level...

but brands and boutiques are good too...

Agent provocateur is so much fun!

La Perla is beautiful and traditional, but since I don't have experience wearing it I'll say that Grigioperla (their men's line) has the most comfortable underwear ever! It looks fairly generic as most men's underwear, but it's incredibly soft and comfortable and "anatomically correct". And it's not really expensive either; 25 € for boxer briefs!

What I'm really puzzled about is why designer lingerie is so damn expensive?! I can somehow understand that bras with complicated constructions are expensive, but simple knickers are very, very expensive for what they are... Maybe they're thinking you're desperate to match top and bottom...

Sadly enough, I don't invest in designer lingerie. But it's gosh darn nice to look at.

Love the Chantal Thomass and Agent Provocateur....both very flirty and fun.

Sabbia Rosa also makes very pretty lingerie....it's practically impossible to find pictures of it ever since Net A Porter stopped carrying them.

And this pair of panties from Coco de Mer is very pretty, and very different. Other then this though there stuff is either boring or a little too naughty.

Excellent question, I've often wondered that myself ... perhaps bras are the loss leader, and they make it up on the back end ;) I think we should all go without just to show them.

I think Damaris was the first lingerie designer to concentrate solely on the fantastical knickers...bustles, cut-outs, frothiness all on the behind, in beautiful fabrics and pretty expensive prices. Her range has expanded since then, but I think her first collection was the best.

Coco de Mer's underwear isn't so great, but their Monmouth St. shop in London is one of the best I've been in. Much better than Agent Provocateur, it also sells bits & pieces from Basso&Brooke and some fabulous fox masks and amazing leather accessories by a guy I can't remember right now  Their website really doesn't show them at their best....it's quite off putting actually.

Bas Bleu is a label I really like, but the website hasn't been changed for a while, so it's looking a bit dated : www.basbleu.co.uk

Myla is also quite good. Their range covers the super-sexy to the sweet.

St.Tropez Leisure also do some nice pieces and are a smaller company. www.sttropezlesiure.com

Another favourite is the Brazilian Madame V - www.madamev.co.uk

And last but not least Marlies Dekkers. www.marliesdekkers.nl who designs pieces that are a bit more structured and serious.
