Linings For Designer Items

I liek a print lining eprsoanlly, but I dislike linings, i feel a bit confined.

I use a material called Bengaline to line my bags...

It's commonly used... but i dunno about clothes.

I'm just reminded of these pieces shown inside out.
scarf print linings are silk, used under knits etc.

I am amazed by this site everyday! This question crosses my mind and *poof* - Voila! Everything I could ever want to know on this subject. :woot: Thanks everyone!

I find that lining can either add a lot, or take away a tonn. I have an inexpenisve black parka that has a very bright silk lining inside. Everyone who saw it, went, "Whoa, this hing must have cost you!'" I got the last one for $90! Absence of lining could also ve very lovely. A lot of the Lanvin Spring 2005 clothing I saw is unlined, and is as luxurious as can be.

I hate skirts that don't have linings, especially if they are winter skirts, because they don't fall properly over tights.

Or when flannel pants or skirts are unlined! It cruelty to butts and legs...
