Lisliey, you'd better start believing you are a real designer
your graduate work is very promising, mainly on your use of leather.
you are talented and your garments are well finished
believe me , it shouldnt be hard for you to find a job,
i would hire you to assist on the spot if i was based in NY.

Leather is pricey.. it depends on where you go and how much of a deal you can get.... Lambskin however can run 30-60 dollars a skin.. It's usually not too bad for me... but I only make bags...

The leather I got from hongkong and it was pricey but it was the first collection so I wanted to splurge a lil. I made up for it but using something less expensive for the knits. Yea we had to sew everything oursleves as a requuirement for the class. leather is hard to sew on home machines but industrial machines will do the job.

Those are gorgeous! Hmm.. my favorites are the dresses with the pink/white streamers on them. I could definately see myself wearing them to a high-class gathering. Did you design the bag as well? I enjoy that just as much
