M | what does it feel like to be such a big Chinese model and how does it feel to be a part of NYFW as a famous Chinese face?
L |I quite enjoy it because i really like the style of the modelling and meeting the top designers and models and i get to travel to amazing places.... See More
M |Which designers are you really inspired by?
L | My look is the cool girl, so i buy cool designers like Balenciaga, Alexander Wang, sometimes a bit crazy like Alexander McQueen, like my bag.
M | Tell me about your personal style
L | Because my look is a little bit tomboy, i like big pants and also very skinny jeans and boots with rhinestones and men’s coats and jackets and t-shirts.
M | How was today for you? You had 4 shows and many castings, fittings, how do you feel?
L | Very excited and i really enjoy it. I want to do so many different designer’s show. I love runway because it’s cool and everyone watches you in the show!
M | Tell me about the feelings you’re having being here about to walk for “Fashion for Relief Haiti”
L | I’m very excited, it was crazy backstage but i love it, it was a great cause and the amazing models and celebrities that were in the show where so amazing and so many people came to watch! I loved being a part of a good cause show.
M | So what’s on your playlist right now?
L | I like a lot of music, i get a different feeling from different music, sometimes i like rock, or romantic music or relaxing music.
M | That’s a nice bag, tell me about it and what’s in it.
L | It was a present from Alexander Wang. Inside i have cakes because i get hungry, water, camera I LOVE shooting, high heels, my book, eye drops, lipstick, hat, of course telephone and home keys.
M |What’s your favourite dish that your mother or father makes?
L | My father cooks, he makes spicy food, the food where i’m from in China (Hunan) is very spicy.
M | Are you a good dancer?
L | Noooo, models are very tall so i don’t think it looks nice, i have to dance sometimes for shoots but not nice.
M | And tell me what’s one thing you have to do before turning out the lights at night?
L | I have to read, sometimes English book or Chinese. I am reading Twilight New Moon in English at the moment so i can learn English.
M | What is the one goal you have to achieve out of NYFW?
L |I want to shoot a lot of campaigns in NY, Paris, everywhere and then go home to see my family. After fashion week maybe i can spend time with my family in the New Year because it’s now Chinese New Year.
