Big thanks to Kathleen for inquiring on Liu Wen's behalf (and her fans). No other news outlet got the kind of info we needed from EL. Guess some closure and reaffirmation was needed. Officially.

Know that it's far still early, and will say it again, hopefully she'll get her own space and appear on actual ads (mainly Chinese) inside magazines too. So far has been underwhleming-ish... Good luck!



Also she's in Japan the past days.
 
She needs to have a big moment in HF in 2018 which will solidify her status as a supermodel. I feel like it's coming. I mean she's clearly a star and doing great but I want her to be like Adriana and do a season here and there of high fashion campaigns.

She'd be 30 and with over 10 years in the (international) fashion industry, she evidently has longevity and has more gas in the tank to keep going. Can't believe it.

However, for someone like her, she still missing some certain things like an OG Vogue cover of the big four (and that isn't Chinese). Plus she hasn't star in a proper campaign for a big brand - OG or otherwise. She has like second/third tiers, but not necessarily top, bluechip brands. Although there's Armani, setting the bar, however.

Feels that those two are the biggest challenges/things to achieve for HF at the moment. Kind of like the two important things missing on her resume. What else?


Also it'd be great to see more support from designers/stylists that would take Liu Wen under their wings. Like they gotta obsess over her and truly want to feature her in their creations and work and not necessarily just for politics... seriously. Then she'll have a greater chance.


With that said, she doesn't have to prove herself too. She's almost done it all, and overall she have accomplished a lot in her career that most models would like to emulate. Cosmetic and fashion contracts, all-time runway record, VS & Forbes recognition, 20+ million admirers worldwide, photographed by all major photographers, firsts of many, and that highly coveted American Vogue cover among other things.

It's great from the big picture (just that it could be better with the aforementioned things).

2017 is about to end soon, this year am still very busy, but very happy, can still fly everywhere to see the world. I have already set some goals to achieve the age, work is even more calm. I always hope to challenge some of the more difficult, or larger things to say.

The most regrettable thing this year is too little time to go home, when the summer vacation did not spend a holiday with my parents. Also, Iceland will not be able to go to this year. Therefore, in 2018, I really want to achieve this small goal of arranging for a trip, not the kind of work to be carried out.
