Was somehow transported to '50s fashion. Would so love to see her do vintage, an old-school styling spread for Vogue Italia/Paris. Polka dots, checkers, cat-eyes, colours, and the Marilyn Monroe hair too. And while at it, she could even have an outfit or two in a one piece swimsuit, like in her instagram, would do.
 
So after 8 takes, they got the shot - and it turned out quite perfect actually, considering her fear of under water.

And the second pic is near perfection. Still a beautiful beauty shot. Why can't people from previous years capture this kind of moment of Liu Wen.

So nice to see her in the runway, I hope she will walk for Chanel as well but I guess she'll just watch the show, which is already good.
 
^ It was said that Katie Grand specially requested Liu Wen to walk (no wonder the unexpected surprise!). So don't think we will see her walk any more HC runways. Nevertheless this was great IMO. ^^

Agree hope she's at Chanel. She kinda suggested that she was there for a quick stop for Schiaparelli only, maybe? We'll find out soon!
 
Too bad she wasn't at Chanel... it's strange since she became an ambassador not so long ago.
 
^ Wasn't gonna start saying much, but since you brought it up, I'm also confused and disappointed about her non-appearance.

Apparently she's still in town so not sure as to why she wouldn't/couldn't make it, especially, like you said, being an ambassador for the brand. Really.


Obviously there are other factors: she's probably precoccupied or simply she was't invited - if it's the latter, that is indeed strange.

It was more understandable that she missed the Pre-Fall show knowing she's in another continent and busy at the same time.

And don't think none of us expect her to show up at EVERY Chanel event, not realistic for her, but particularly this one for sure (and she's done back-to-back couture shows the past years).




With all that said and considered. Perhaps she was just there specifically for Schiaparelli and that's that. Not the end of the world.
