Those of you who are familiar with the city will know that for the last five years or so basicly the entir city centre has been rebuilt and has been one big building site. THe liverpool one development is a new type of retail experience. Indoor shopping centres mixed in with specialist streets with restaurants and bars spilling into the streets with parks an entertainment spaces build onto the roof. It is bringing loads of new shops to the city. Many of them the first store outside of london, as well as several flagship stores.

Visitors will find a city that has re-invented itself, the shops supported by bars, restaurants and cafés adding to the established visitor attractions such as Albert Dock and the historic waterfront to create a unique and compelling experience.
Liverpool ONE also ensures excellent customer parking with the creation of over 3,000 car parking spaces at the heart of the city centre.
This year, the city will leap from its current 15th spot to take fifth place in the country's retail rankings by 2017.
Liverpool ONE is a completely new style of regeneration for the UK. By retaining and developing the existing streets, rather than simply building a huge shopping mall, the soul of the city is retained. When completed, Liverpool ONE will link the city centre with the Albert Docks by a "super pedestrian walkway". Currently the dockside attractions are cut off from the city by the busy Strand. From September pedestrians will have priority over cars and the waterfront will be linked directly to the redeveloped Chavasse Park and then into the shopping areas.
