Loewe Menswear F/W 2022.23 Paris

I will most likely be in the minority here, but I still don't see what all the hype is about.

The lack of effort with the surealist elements gives the ensemble a watered down feel that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Even the “deconstruction” is lackluster and gives the pieces a look as if they were caught in a lawn mower.

Here's a good title for the show “Deflated Deconstruction”, or “Somber Surealism”, sigh, if this man is the pinnacle of talent at the moment, then those who claim the industry is at an all-time low are most likely correct.

It’s bonkers and I don’t get it. But kudos for trying and being different. I’m always so sceptical with him. Coming out after sending this parade of total clownery in an Arket ensemble.
Aside from this show, I respect his work for Loewe, it looks great in stores and I usually buy an item or two every season.

"Loe-meme"...because each look is a walking internet meme of sorts!

"Low-eve" can also be applied in this collection...

That was his worst collection by far. I don't know what has happened there but JW Anderson was bored and in rush at the same time. But I must appreciate his view as he sells accessories so clothes are the background for puzzle bag lol

After the show for his namesake brand last week, I was expecting a palette cleanser. Needless to say, this collection didn’t provide that at all. It’s bad when I have to go through the collection a third time to try to force myself to like something. Not sure how it happened but I will take last week collection over this. Hoping Jonathan can pull it together soon.

As much as I love Jonathan, this must be his worst collection to date. So little to wear here. There’s even no the usual “art collector” look here. This collection is basically a young, horny, gay guy that is going to the underground sex party in his early 20s. It could’ve been good if it was way, way toned down and more commercial. Otherwise, I’m not sure who is this for, why was this made, and what the hell is going on here.

Jonathan, dear, please stop looking and posting homosexual paintings on your Instagram for a week or two, and maybe engage with some other content?

I give him 5 stars for effort! at least he's not boring and tries. Sure this is mostly a failure, but I salute the trying and experimenting.

It is def his worse collection and a bad show too. Both Lazy and pretentious. The Emperors old clothes.

This collection is so weird and creepy. Walter’s collection looks like a completely reasonable fashion proposition when compared with these parade of cheap-looking costumes. Absurd!

If I were feeling particularly risqué, I’d maybe wear the rubber boots or some other accessory, the clothes on the other hand…I wouldn’t touch with a ten meter stick.

This collection is really weird, but to me it's weird in a good way. It's really brave and I somehow like the concepts behind particular pieces. And while it's not the most user-friendly show, I still believe this was one of the highlights of this week, including the communication on their social media channels.

It started off quite well and then just became a mess. I can still appreciate his creativity but some of this just comes across as a poor man's CDGHP.

what a mess - just to show off commercial bags...also just realized - a lot of this things are copies of others peoples work

^I noticed that the inside out military coats are reminiscent of Comme des Garçons F/W 09.10 “Wonderland”…

The shirts and pants with hoops a remind me of Cardin, although Miyake and, more recently, Rick Owens have done similar things too.
