Loewe Menswear S/S 2022

1. Just no.
2. All of this reminds me of some p*rn*gr*ph*c/heavily erotic zine or indie mag catered towards the endlessly horny gay community, specifically in cities like Paris and Berlin. Like some BUTT + HERO + F*cknig Young aesthetic mix.
3. What are those "high schooler discovers Photoshop" effects?
4. Did I say no?

haha he is now giving Loewe some artsy diet too

I get trying to explore new avenues and aesthetics but this collection enters in total contradiction with the sibaritic and elitist style that is synonymous with his time at Loewe...huge misstep!

There was a period at the beginning of Anderson's tenure at Loewe where his collections were chic, sleek, and fashion-forward (albeit slightly pretentious at times). They had a slight 2000s Ghesquiere vibe which worked well. I believe that period ultimately led to his success. Somehow, he's lost his footing within the past couple years and it became even worse with the pandemic. The clothes are now frumpy and ugly simply for shock value. In addition, he has presented recent collections in such unflattering ways, to the point I don't even think the ~artsy~ crowd would be into it. This collection and lookbook exemplifies that. Not even the accessories, bags, and shoes are nice here.

This makes me so sad to see what his Loewe collections have become. What happened to the gorgeously shot look books from earlier seasons? This new direction is just terrible.

Is it just me, or Jonathan has become this overpretentious, unbearable person during the pandemic? I mean I don't know what's worse, the clothes or the lookbook by David Sims. At least you can't really see the looks, because I bet they're much worse in real life. Sad, because there was this promise of fantastic and super luxurious brand, and now it seems to be gone, especially with the menswear division. I get that they have separate commercial collections, but it doesn't really justify those awkward experiments.

Loewe hasn’t produced any hot item for a long time IMO the bags are slowly fading The clothes are getting ridiculous that he can’t balance the art and wearability anymore It is getting more and more niche. Also I failed to see how this and his own brand has anything substantially different. They all weird
