This was meant to represent Jordan (obviously) and (especially) his athletic mystique, which you were "making a part of you" when you wore his shoes...

The vintage Chloè was prettier than the new version - but then again I'm a sucker for newer antiqua fonts... the new version just isn't sharp enough. Hehe.

The Chanel logo of course is simply genious :>

great thread ;)

i think some logos have the hability of being timeless, and that's huge in my opinion. also, the fact that a brand is remembered and recognized by its logo implies the importance of having a good logo design.

You can score vector .eps files of logos online for school projects and whatnot at www.brandsoftheworld.com
this website came very handy for some school projects, so i'm sure other will appreciate it too

i always prefer the less detailed labels sometimes too much going on can look a bit cheap.

is there a thread dedicated to different brand identities? Like chloe has keychains, different labels, hang tags etc? That would be cool to see.

Brand identity... what's that? You could post them here ^_^ It fits the topic, no?

gius, brand id, is basically anything relating to the use of their logo, i guess is the easiest way to say it. from the feel of the paper on the business cards, to letterhead style, web design, it all has to have the same feeling.

It says a lot for a good logo, like Chanel or Nike, that their logos have been able to maintain their strength for so long.

LAMB! I love LAMB's brand identity!

The graphics for tees and tags are lovely.

feel of the paper on the cards...
so it's not just the logo...
i guess also, if it's fashion, it could be the way they style the models' with the designer's clothing... and also the set design, shop design?

hmm sounds interesting
It wouldn't hurt starting a thread on it, lostinemotion

haha, those are so cute twomonthsoff :p
thanks for posting them
now i understand that song "wind it up"
the tune's taken from The Lonely Goatherd song in the film The Sound of music ^_^

the imagery it looks like it has to do with Christianity :ninja:

Yeah well it's 'stolen' from the icon of the Lamb of God (Agnus Dei).

arteguias.com, druidic.org

Risky choice for a brand!

wow :o i love those ... thanks tmo
i wonder why Gwen Stefani chose to call her label LAMB anyway
is there any interview on that?
i remember when she was part of No Doubt, she wore a white tank with AMEN on it, in the same gothic font as LAMB

i admit, i'm drawn to Christian imagery too
i use it in my own work
there is just something about it...

I wonder if it's blasphemy or something :ermm: although I was born into a Catholic family

I forgot to mention, even the actual design of the lamb itself looks like it's from someplace
I wonder if I've seen it in a children's bible !!!! :o:o:o:o
It has the same cross too
The only thing they changed is that they added a hearts (?) pattern for the hair on its body

LAMB stands for Love Angel Music Baby, I think it's the name of her first solo album.

I'm not very fond of the gothic LAMB logo, because I'm more of a minimalist, but it works well for the brand, because it has a punk/rebel vibe.

Here's a nice logo that I like, because it's simple but not boring, by rearranging the letters slightly differently than you would it expect, it spells out the name of the company as well as a figure.

It's from a site with tons of logos and articles about logo design.

gius - Gwen has said that L.A.M.B. stands for Love Angel Music Baby, but also it was her nickname for her dog when she was a kid/teen. Here's the 'story of lamb', supposedly handwritten by Gwen, and used as a print in the first season.

Edit: pic - livejournal.com/lamb_lovers
Also, the dog's name was Maggie.
