Why You Hate Google’s New Logo

it's not the typeface that i really object to, myself...

i think it's the OCD in me that cannot deal with the horizontals being different in the G and the e...
i find it unnerving...
...

i want to straighten out that e...
or separate it more from the rest of the letters...
i know they did it to try to give it some interest, but it just seems like lazy, amateur design to me...
something a first yr graphic design student would do for their first intro project...

the last one didn't bother me and i didn't love it either...
it was just present and didn't distract me from my mission to find whatever or do whatever i needed to...
i find this one distracting because it irritates me so...

actually- i have visions of taking that little ****-eyed letter e and throwing it in a wheat field so it disappears...

I, too, hate the new logo. I'm a little OCD myself softgrey and that off balance 'e' is working my nerves. I guess I also just don't like change. ;\
