It's not that special, but it's okay I guess. I predict people going mad over it because Kate is the "designer"... :innocent:

I'd like to see it a little better but from the second photo, with the red lining & frame like top... it looks super!

why she's the spokesperson now, so she just carries it. i m not very into it.

The overall shape is plain and simple, true...and sure, she has most likely been given the bag to carry around for publicity purposes. But what caught my eye about this bag is 1) the size and 2) the textured patent leather. It's a very sleek bag, and a big contrast to all the slouchy/hardware infested/fringed/quilted monstrosities currently in the stores.

I've been searching for a chic travel / carry-on bag, but all the choices I've had so far are a bit obvious (LV, Goyard, etc.). I can see myself totally rocking this bag at the airport!

/\ dito! chic and simple, very kate moss and very easy to put with any outfit...im intrigued! any prices or other pics?

i am a longchamp fan and most of their bags styles are simple, streamline and chic. it's sorta their thing.....

Here's a pic and blurb from vogue.co.uk:

LONGCHAMP'S LEGEND
spacer.gif

A DOCTOR'S medical bag from the Seventies isn't the source of inspiration you'd usually apply to a chic French fashion house but that's the look Kate Moss fell in love with when she helped add the final design touches to Longchamp's Legend bag. Having fronted its campaign for the last three seasons, Longchamp asked the supermodel what exactly her ideal handbag would look like. The black patent tote was still a prototype when Moss shot the spring/summer 2007 campaign in New York, but apparently, she couldn't put it down. "She fell in love with it," says a spokesperson for Longchamp. "She immediately suggested a red lining to contrast with the black leather and the end result is the Legend." But why the medical theme? That was artistic director Sophie de la Fontaine's brainchild, we're told. "She found an original doctor's bag and thought it would be great to work with and transform into a stylish handbag. Sophie kept it in archive for a few years and used it for reference to make the Legend."

Jun, the Large is $980, and the Medium is $890. The small is $600-ish...

I saw the bag in person at the SoHo boutique last weekend and it really is lovely! Apparently, it's been flying out the door. The large I think is too big for me and runs extremely East-West...it's a weird proportion for me since I'm petite, but I feel the medium is too small . I was a bit disappointed with the lining, I thought it would be a deep velvety red, but it was a quite thin nylon and the shade of red wasn't particularly pretty...ah well.

I will wait until I go to France in September to buy it, since it's significantly cheaper over there + VAT refund will make it more interesting...In any case, the price is expensive but doable in my opinion...you should just go for it!

I saw that too. Kate Moss didn't "collaborate" on the bag as this thread suggests, she suggested they use red lining and they did.

marie claire quoted the bag @ $655. how big would you say the small size is? could you maybe compare it to another similarly sized bag? as long as it'a bout as big as a LV speedy....i'd be a happy gal...

I'm not in love with these, there is something about the shape that is off putting to me.

But the patent is appealing and that price is great.
