Louis Vuitton Fragrances 2019/2020 : Emma Stone by Mikael Jansson

In one of those hugely popular Celebrities Read Mean Tweets videos on youtube, Emma Stone reads one about herself. It goes something along the lines of "Emma Stone looks like she smells like cat piss", and every time I see her hawking fragrances for Louis Vuitton I think of that.

Badly done all around. I love Emma Stone, but she strikes me as such an ill fit for this brand. I cannot get over how poorly chosen many of the LV spokespeople and brand ambassadors are. I fear it wont be long before Emma Chamberlain is starring in their print campaigns.

What in the hell is this

Honestly, I have no idea. LOL. Everything clashes, the odd growl she's making with her face, the pose, the setting, the clothes. I don't understand how such a big brand consistently gets it wrong each and every time. I know it's only Vuitton, but still.

well, somehow I do understand the crew whoever produce this....cause when u got 10 thousand pics to choose from, you are likely lost your normal sense and pick a ugly unpleasant final work, cause it stimulates more than the others

When you only sells your perfumes in your stores, is it necessary to have a celebrity on the campaign?

My question is, what story does this image tell? In relation to the perfume.

A floral opulence in a classic and timeless environment?ahahhaha
I just made it up...

The Launch of Celine perfume was much more classier...
It’s too bad Nicolas wasn’t involved in this...

Who is her key demographic is what I want to know. She doesn't have that it thing that draws people to her. You see her once in a film and forget about her. That does not sell perfume, or anything else for that matter. Why not book a mature woman who's interesting and charming? Oh wait, it's Ghesquiere! Who am I kidding. I guess Charlotte and Jennifer are now too "old" to be contenders!

Ghesquiere is not directly involved with it...
But yes, it doesn’t make sense to have Emma Stone even if as the « biggest » of all the celebrities that are linked to Vuitton, her choice is obvious.

I don’t think that Haute Parfumerie needs a « face ». The storytelling and the products should be enough.

I feel like the experience behind those kind of perfumes is bigger than a marketing campaign.
