csmboy,i think alot of it is the fact that it's shown on a catwalk.

this lady is immensely talented,indefinitely....some of the most innovative,intricate knitwear i've seen from anybody,actually. i don't think a catwalk actually does what she does justice.

fouroclock,i don't know about condescending(i certainly don't get that impression,myself)but it might be somewhat political. although,i could say that it also might be inspired by Turkish warriors because i can certainly see alot of elements of that here....
