The seventies feel and the bright dresses, love the sequin polka dress on Daria

Like the casting, love that Querelle opened the show

A good collection from Luella

Shoes and bags look good too . . .

as always, i thought the accessories rescued this collection. especially the shoes.

that violet skirt is the only piece i really like, so far.......

I just looked at the whole collection and have to say I'm not impressed. It seems to reference Prada's past collection (s/s99?) with the ostrich in purple worn with browns and golds. The Gucci-esque horse bit is kinda dumb, like it's not even ironic funny.
Must agree that the purple skirt is great and the bags and shoes will save it.

I like this, nicest Luella collection i have seen. the only thing is...doesnt it seem a bit soon for another designer to do high heel loafers since YSL did them just a season ago?

Last season was like easy breezy Lacoste meets Gap, now she's doing a 360 degrees turn with this collection. I too have trouble keeping up with the whole idea behind Luella. And I am not liking her stuff so far.

Yeah if you view the whole collection you see that it's completely inconsistant and there are some completely crap pieces. That said, there are a few pieces here and there that completely save the collection. I like Luella Bartley but I thought her collections were better when they were in London. When she did the whole menswear thing it was so brilliant. I still love one of her sweaters that I should have bought on sale. I'll find some of the good pieces from this and post

I always like Luella castings, she tends to be one of the first to break new girls, I think her stylist is Katie Grand?
