Lui September 2014: Fanny François by Olivier Zahm

Always in love with what Karen Elson has to give. If she'd made the cover, this issue would have been a must-buy for me.

Karen really looks incredible and her story is so otherworldly and elegant - really well done.

Can anyone provide translation on the text within Fanny's section?

I can't speak French, so I let the funky music do the talking...

Do you want the whole real thing ? Or is a quick cheap translation can make it ?

To discuss 2014 literature opening season, Zahm made the right choice with Fanny Francois. This 25 yrs old belgian actress went through these autumn novels. Fanny prefers to read naked : she thinks textile stands in the way of stylistic escape. The 607 novels stacked on the hardwood floor reminded her the Shangai skyscrapers (...). Of course this is pure coincidence if Fanny poses on the cover with Beigbeder's oona et Salinger :smile:rolleyes:smile:.
(.... bla bla bla...)

So if you really want to know "she"'s chosen Le Royaume by Emmanuel Carrere (one of the best seller author each year ...), Francois Roux's Le Bonheur national brut (I might read this), Viva by Patrick Deville, Julia Deck's Le triangle d'hiver (at Minuit publisher - love them, so might read this one too, it is about marivaudage... nice ), and finally Dans le jardin de l'ogre by Leila Slimani - where it is almost as warm as at Olivier Zahm's place.

I can already say sorry for the messed-up grammar ........ :flower:

Thank you so much! This is perfect! :woot::woot::woot:

It's to bad they didn't use one of Karen's shots from the editorial for the cover. Her work here with Sundsbø is absolute magic!
