Lutz S/S 06 Paris

Thanks for posting scott!

I like it ...and I've never came across 'lutz' before as far as I'm aware, I've really come around to grey this year, and the second and third outfits posted are strangely like something I did for my textiles design paper for corporate sportswear, similar shapes, and exact same colour scheme :ninja:

I'm like 50-50 on dresses... some of them look definitely beautiful, while othes are not standing out that much... oh, and I totally dislike all those boots and shoes! :(

Well actually I'm much more on "30% I like it - 70% I don't like it"! :p

Love it all.....great colours and fabrics. I even like that metallic trench!

Thanks Scott for posting!

I really like this; loving the colours, the layering, the fabrics, and the over-sized buttons.

thanks for posting scott.....:flower:

some of it is great...
the skirts and the cardigans are my favorite i think....

but there are some equally bad pieces i think....
a few terrible 'flops'.....
where 'calm' sort of melts into 'drab'.....

i'm hot and cold on this one....
but there are a few pieces on their own that would be great paired with something else, imo....

rawwwr!! yes! :woot: thank you scott! this and hartmann nordenholz today has truly made my day. lutz is quite underrated in the US. if it's not carried in ny, i'm assuming noone in la carries them? space, do you know? i'd go for online stuff too...

great job, scott!, i was so expecting this and it looks..amazing.

Confirmed that OC carries the stuff (weird, its the 2nd time ive mentioned them tonite...haha), but their stock changes, its part of the store concept (competition between countries to see who sells better), don't know if lutz is still there.

Thanks for the pictures, Scott.
I love Lutz, although on first glance this collection hasn't wooed me
(yet)

LUTZ is one of my favorite designer ,they have something different from the others designers I like it so much....

love some of the colour block looks, the 'distressed' knits seem a bit tired to me..
all around a so-so Lutz collection imho :ninja:

merci pour les images scott ;)
agreed. reminds me of 90s mindless deconstruction.

lutz has had better seasons.

it's ok, some individual pieces

its a bit more ready-to-wear then the previous collections...more mainstream. But has definate Lutz style...A good collaboration between one's usual avant garde aesthetic and wearability for the masses... I enjoy the color blocking of different fabrics and the deconstructeed knitwear.
Mainstream and pared down defile's are the theme from the collections this year...whats is this saying...are designers succoming the masses to make the money..is avant-garde dying...or is is just because its spring/summer collections and its never much fun as the a/w collections to design?

That's kind of what I was saying. He's gone away a bit from his usually quirky sportif+sophisticated mix. I don't know if I'd go so far to say that it's mainstream because this is still pretty quirky. But it is certainly alot more subtle than before.

Not to beat into the ground but the truth of the matter is that everybody is facing difficult times,financially....at both ends of the spectrum. Although, personally,I might agree with that last bit because I've never found S/S to be as strong as A/W. But it's not the reason,I don't think.

i thought i'd add this very cute image from contemporaryfashion.net

^_^
