Everything is just so gorgeous, especially the 1st outfit and the last 2 dresses. Dammit, why can't I be rich so I can buy her whole collection??!!

i'm surprised it's such a dark and strong colored collection... specially this season that everyone is showing whites and greys and much softer stuff

its reaally ugly - stylists should NEVER do their own lines.....

(I'm just wondering, not trying to start a battle) What do you find ugly about it?

^^^^ it looks very cheap and unoriginal.

The first 2 outfits are a travesty and honestly make me think of a try-hard celebrity like britney spears, trying to be 'classy'

Oh, and the 'embellished dresses', especially the last one, looks like a tacky prom dress that you can buy for $99!

NOoffence but i think except for the last dress everything is above average.

and i think its not fair to call somebody hard work ugly without having a close look at it. sometimes clothes look so simple but the fabrics used and finishing is so good.

the dresses look nice, but not too impressive. i think it's a line for celebs mainly...

I find the blues very directional especially paired with the flesh tone. Nice.
I don't feel she is out to create coats with 6 sleeves, just stuff she might wear.
She has done a very tightly edited, cohesive collection and the fit is terrific on some of the outfits(navy sequin suit)!
Better to not experiment so wildly(as with Victoria Bartlett) and make terrible mistakes.
I can even forgive her for being a whatever-slash designer as I can see she has potential.

It may not be the most original runway show, but I still think its a nice collection, the short blue cocktail dresses are classy and I love that blue strapless gown with the chiffon ruffles in the back:heart::heart:,Im sure her clients will be fighting over that one!:D

HE-llo!

that could go down SO well somewhere.... not sure where yet.. but im thinking how it could work... ive been dead to the world of fashion for the last little while - or maybe i dont keep up on my L'Wren Scott info :P either way i didnt know she had gone into designing? last time i heard she was only styling (although one could dispute she has always been designing (man)handbags ;P)

is this new? is it her first collection?

doesnt look good to me...
and is it just me or is everything ill-fitting?...
things seem to be riding and bunching up all over the place...

the clothes look a bit tired...still doing the grey skinny jeans are we?

I think several pieces are quite good, actually. That frilly, ruffled beauty of a thing in picture 4/post 1 is covetable. As is the blk. lace top in picture 3/post 3! Though anything sarcophagus related warms my heart. :crush:

Overall, the styling is a pain, esp. the first look. It's so 'of the moment', imo. Retrenchs the spirit of the clothing. Nothing novel to speak of, but it certaintly isn't 'bad' and it's very L'Wren, aswell.

Thanks, thefunkykitten! The indigo blues would look lovely against the red carpet. B) And... there is always room for more velvet. However, I don't feel this is a S/S collection at all. Also, the shoes are really distracting to the eye.

Agree, I too thought that shawl was one of the standout pieces. I like this, and I have no quarrel with where L'Wren came from. She is not designing for my body type, but that's OK  One of the dresses (teal satin I believe) is quite unflattering on even the model, I can just imagine it on a real body, good Lord ...

I'm not a skull person, but the little skull ornament is darling.

And as far as the skinny jeans ... I'm sure it hasn't escaped her notice that they're not as hot as they once were, but she's being true to her silhouette, can't argue with that.

I see what you're saying.

I do think some pieces are very cute, but in a Bebe/Arden B. way, kinda tacky, but cute for going out, still I would bet that this line is terribly overpriced, as most "celebrity" lines are. I wouldn't pay more than 100-150 bucks for most of the pieces...
