At that price, it should be a nearly extinct rarissime bird and not a chicken.
Even real tortoise shell (turtle shell actually) glasses aren’t that expensive.
They are 10 to 30k.

They are not allowed to do HC, and maybe if the Kering's exec were nicer, they might have gotten the rights (it's at the discretion of the Foundation), but they aren't, and AV has not the skills to be a couturier. They (Kering) were this close to get the rights with Hedi. But Hedi left and Pierre passed.
Maybe later, with someone else as CD, someone else as execs, and someone else as owner of the fashion brand.

Exactly like that, it's split, Madison owns the Couture and the Foundation the archives.
Pierre and Yves were so pissed with De Sole and Pinault, they made it extra complicated to made Couture out of reach of them.

The intensity I feel comes from me not being able to afford it but why are blazers so expensive!!!! They are READY to WEAR!!! ^ I just bought a Lanvin blazer (Lucas era) from TheRealReal for $148, and it came with the $4425 price tag still attached. The fabric is unbelievable.

As much as I share your pain looking at new collections, there's still good stuff out there at reasonable prices -- don't let increasingly irrational MSRPs ruin your day.

And Loewe's Fall releases higher than before, maybe to avoid potential Dior & Anderson competition with Anderson's Loewe classics... because, aesthetically they are the closest competitors right, no comparison of prestige of course, even though I find Loewe's work on leather far more luxurious than Dior's.

Yes, that’s the new direction most fashion houses (not Dior, Chanel and Hermes tho) are taking. They are very vocal about it and they actively mention in the strategy meetings…

As you said, they are paying attention to aspirational customers and they want to make sure there’s an offer for them in all categories, even RTW.

It makes sense to me. Not everyone needs to be Chanel.

I also saw how some the pricing of some bags were made and certain brands didn’t want to have a real button or a hook for the chain just to cut costs while the bag increased 200€/300€ every six months… really absurd. It’s just another level of cheapness. Or not adding a pocket inside a tote to save a few cents…
