Oh this band...

I cant believe how much they have blown up its incredible. I saw some photos of their free show in Brooklyn a couple weeks ago and there were people dressed like them and everything it was ridic.

I saw them play in Feb, and I listened to the album for a couple months, but got tired of it. I have to say I was thoroughly disappointed in their show. They played "Electric Feel" like 20 times slower than it is on the album and you couldnt even dance to it or anything. They played with 0 enthusiasm.

Hopefully they have improved since I saw them. I personally think their a fad band and everyone will totally forget about them soon enough.

^ I saw them play about a week ago and doesn't sound like they've improved. I thought they were totally boring live. I was sorta psyched to see them too, especially when I saw Andrew at American Apparel. But their live performance was unfortunately, totally forgettable.

I completely LOVE mgmt, but their live show was a bit underwhelming. Perhaps it was because expected too much from them because I love their record so much. Their act wasn't disappointing, but didn't exactly make me like them more.

I saw them again last night opening for Beck and though they always sound great, there's something about their live show that is so forgettable. They just don't really seem to have any chemistry together on stage.

I've only ever seen them once and the atmosphere was mad, everyone was jumping around and singing along so it definitely wasn't underwhelming for me

^^ I think they are just too drugged out to put on a great performance, though Andrew says he "tries not to do ecstasy every night", haha. While it might work for some bands, I don't think it does for them!

Im so in love with this band... waiting to see them when they come down although from all the reviews on here and from friends I have only heard about bad performances.

^ Don't get discouraged! I've seen them twice and though I haven't been blown away by their performance, I think that they always sound top notch. Probably one of the best bands whose sound really translates from record to stage. I'm just a sucker for a show, if that makes any sense.

Oh I love them - I remember hearing their songs a while back but never knowing who it was (I think it was on an episode of skins?)

They're amazing. For some reason the people that usually listen to the top 40's are in love with them in my school... haha, does anyone ever feel that they want to make one of their favourite bands a secret?
