Paris Mens Fashion Week is unveiling the obsession for plaid this season...Designers are eager to show their inner punks with appearances of traditional Scotish tartans, or all kind of novelty plaid and silk, sheer lurxurious plaid. While it's nothing new, but when everybody's showing their loves for plaid, it's worth noting for sure:heart:

Good thread! I love it at Dries and Yohji the most

It seems like ever since the year that the Met held the Anglomania exhibit, plaid has been much more visible in the collections.

Or maybe I'm just noticing it more?

I like the wrapped look Yohji did, kind of makes me think of Braveheart.

scottish vibe in general no ?
there are even kilts all over the place

I really like the Yohji collection, dripping with tartan.

Oh my gosh I wish I could have that second blaak jacket it would look so good worn as a dress.

Anyway some at Costume National.

YESSSS, I was looking for this thread. Plaid is clearly my favorite print. I do not like it when it is overdone, but when on a piece here and there, I live.

I think this D&G version is my absolute favourite , it includes that blue that seems to be popping up in a lot of collections.

Another D&G look even the tie is plaid !

^I thought one plaid piece was a bit much, but combining so many designs in the second photo...it really works! Thank you so much for the D&G photos. I wish I could pull the look off myself. When I wear 3 different patterns together, I get self conscious..

Don't ! I wear different plaids/tartans together , I think it works. Try it out take a friend with you , I often do if I feel a little conscious in something , and then after a while I think I don't care !

i do like how comme des garcons has used it as an accent :)

I've tried it subtly so far this winter, in combination usually with a hat, scarf, shirt, or even rolling up the cuff of my flannel-lined pant to break the line. Thanks for the advice, I think I'll try it out again.

More subtle blue plaid at Bruno Pieters

Damir Doma looks exquisite! Where can one find more, KiddoKiddo?!? :crush:

My love for plaid will never cease, I am certain. I esp. love it on men. So adorably sexy.

kiddokiddo, thanks for the adds. I really like the shimmer of the blackwatch tartan from Gaspard.

ApertureRomance, the second Rykiel outfit is something I would love to rock out.

^hmm...the scottish tartans are emblematic of bloodied pasts, i suppose the leopard draws out the feral side to it...
