Makeup Brushes

mac has good eye brushes, I find that many of the face ones shed. The end all of makeup brushes is the Kevyn Aucoin set-they are beautiful and outstanding quality, but expensive. Hoping to get them for Christmas!

I have no idea of they are good or crap because I've never used them, but I heard Pout was meant to be good for brushes.

2nd Trish McEvoy's brushes & a huge rave for Kevyn Aucoin's set. Anna Sui & Fresh make some nice brushes as well. Skin Alison Rafaelle's Kabuki brush gets an honorable mention for its extreme softness & fullness. I don't have the Sonia Kashuk set that's pictured, but have tried others & definitely think they're good for the price.

Any of you have suggestions on a really good quality natural hair brush of Cream Blush?

I've been searching for a good one but had no luck.

i don't understand the question...do you want a brush to apply cream blush?...
cream blush should be applied with the fingertips...

i have a brush set from bobbie brown...

Armani's Blender brush is their natural haired foundation brush and it's apparently suppose to be good as a cream blush brush too

yes i agree, aren't foundation brushes good for applying cream products?

Never tried them, IMO, Shu Uemura has the best brushes

Being a makeup artist in training I have to agree with that. Shu Uemura brushes are the best. Kryolan brushes are very good too IMO.

The problem with using fingers is that the more you rub it in the more it gets on your finger.

So you end up with more blush on your finger than you do on your hand.

A brush like this....

I'm however not familiar with the brand.

Becca is an Australian cosmetics brand

the brush is made from synthetic fibre though, not natural hair as you were asking for above

I love using Crown brushes. I like to experiment on different brushes. Not just only one brand.

Natural hairs give a finer finish.

I find synthetic hairs to be to thick and make application hard with streaky results.

Taklon is a super fine kind of nylon that is used alot in foundation brushes. It's supposedly just as good, or better than natural bristles, for applying emollient-based makeup because the product will not be absorbed into the bristles. I have a Japonesque foundation brush made of taklon and Chanel has some taklon brushes as well :flower:
