Mandy Moore

I don't know the exact date (it says new on the site) she wrote this but it's about her new album;)

From MandyMoore.com

Hey there,
On a lunch break right now from a writing session
with the amazing Rachael Yamagata. Rachael is
one of the coolest people I have ever met and I
am so lucky to be working with someone this talented.
For those of you unfortunate ones who don't know
about her, go and check out "Happenstance" .....NOW!
Amazing, amazing record and she has another one
in the works. Anyway, the record is coming along
great... About 15 songs written and recorded with
a few more to go. The whole writing process for me
has become one of the most enjoyable things I have
ever done. So far, I have collaborated with Adam Duritz,
Michelle Branch, Lori McKenna (the AMAZING Lori McKenna!
- going back east to work with her again this coming week),
Chantal Kreviazuk and James Renald. I am getting so
psyched to put this record out and hit the road for the
first time in a LONG time. The live aspect of this record
is gonna be so great to take on the road!

I just finished filming the Richard Kelly movie,
"Southland Tales," here in L.A. and am waiting to see
which project is next. There are so many steps to films
getting greenlit that I've learned to just take it day
by day and I just figure I'll hear when its time to show
up for work.

In the meantime, my life remains pretty uneventful.
Going to the gym, being with friends and loving the
Spanish Latte at Urth Caf? Here in L.A...
Hope this finds you all well. Continued good thoughts
to all those trying to rebuild your lives down in Louisiana.

Xo

All the pictures in this post are from when Mandy was in Tokyo (May 20th 2005) And the comments are really from Mandy;) If all these have been
posted already then a mod can take care of them:blush:

Yes, I look like a geek.... On our way to Karaoke for my birthday in Tokyo,
we all bought wigs in Harajuku (Gwen's stomping grounds). I would show
you some of the others but I think my friends would kill me!

This was from a photo shoot I did in Tokyo. I don't think I've ever had a
faster shoot in my life. The photographer was done in about 5 mins. As
always, the Japanese are the some of the most accomodating, considerate
people and everything they do is so incredibly organized. I think this was
for a magazine called Glamour Girl...

While I was there, I helped open the new flagship Coach store. It was a
HUGE event and the store is unbelievable! It's like 3 floors of nothing but
Coach! Tons of fans came for a signing but the store was packed for the
shopping as well!

Another shot from the Coach Store opening. It was hilarious....EVERYTHING
had the Coach logo on it...the pillows, the napkins, the
glasses...everything! Two of the people that are totally responsible for
this week in Japan have become such great friends - Raina and Heather.
We're all going to Mexico together in a few weeks..can't wait to hang with
them again!

This was a card that my brother, Kyle, made for my 21st Birthday
that we did, in fact, celebrate in Tokyo. So many gifts this year were
handmade and I just appreciate those kinds of things so much. We all went
out for an AMAZING sushi dinner and then did a little karaoke-ing at a REAL
karaoke bar....like nothing you have ever seen!

When we got back from Tokyo, I had the greatest time at my birthday party at Hotel Figueroa in L.A.
It was about 100 people, and I was so overwhelmed with seeing people I hadn't seen in so long.
It was just a great evening all around with a performance painter (don't ask - you would HAVE to
see it to believe it!), awesome music and just great people. I was so happy that Mary Louise Parker (left)
could make it. She and I became like sisters on the set of "Romance and Cigarettes." She is so
unblievably talented and really was a savior to me when I was living in NYC alone shooting this film.

That's Brian Dannelly (director of "Saved!"), Mary Louise, me and Sandy Stern (producer of "Saved!")
having a little reunion at my birthday party. So great to all be together for the first time in so long!

Thank you Bonchic for posting all of those!

I think the mag must have gotten it wrong perhaps then, it said...'Slummin' in Paradise is out now'.
Hmmm, if not now, it must be soon then.:D

She looked really pretty. I noticed in a lot of her pictures she sqeezes her shoulders together, she comes off looking really tense.

I don't understand why she took off the necklace to present. Her dress is quite dull without it.

she looks great!
i missed the golden globes and i'm kickin myself for doing that
i actually slept through it :ninja:

She looks really pale and plain in those. She couldve been prettier than ANYONE at the show. But she didnt try hard it seems.
