Manolo Blahnik vs. SJP

I cant imagine what tourists the Manolo Blahnik shop must get!! And they try on shoes...why? I never try on shoes unless I intend to buy.

I wish customers were more considerate, your dirty feet are hogging a pair of $600 Manolo's that someone who might actually buy them wants to try on, this is my livelihood, Im not here to entertain you so you can go tell your girlfriends in Michigan that you tried on Manolo's just like Carrie. Im sorry, I just can't stand gawkers, they waste my time. I cant imagine what gawkers Chanel, Dior, Gucci have...god help Louis Vuitton...Saks in NYC must be filled with tourists...

yeah the SA there get so sick of it. People walk in and touch everything and sneak pictures and all that. Waste all the time and mess up inventory.

She said in the summer (my manolo SA) that they give tours daily and drive by the boutique. After the tour alot of ppl go back in the boutique and try s tuff on, ask where the SATC shoes are, does Sarah Jessica come in alot....which ones did she buy, etc

They hate it!

no, SATC hasn't dried up. They have a tour in NYC And they stop by the Manolo store. MY SA there hates it because alot of tourist come in and try things on, aren't careful with the shoes and don't buy.

They come in looking for the stolen shoe and argue since the price in the show was 495 and in the stores its 645...and they always argue about the price with the SAs there.

If I were MB, that would make me mad, too. People can be so tacky. I mean, if you are going to spend hundreds on a pair of shoes, why quibble over the current retail?

Personally, the only MBs I want (and plan to purchase) are the black patent MJ Camparis. ETA: Otherwise, I'm faithful to Louboutin.

LegalDiva, I have those shoes. I love them. When you put them on....you feel something special.

Yea, its hard for them. They got a doorman and monitor how many people come in at a time, etc

They do that at the Jimmy Choo store. Its a stop on the list. Thankfully for Louboutin on Madison...the tour doesn't stop that far up...so they are saved.

I think that it is a bit unfair to get on those people's cases. I come from such a small town that when we went into the guess store on a field trip to Washington, D.C, a few people in my party were amazed that Guess? could possibly sell jeans for $114. So for less fortunate fashionistas in the making, it's fun to go and look at things that you certainly can't afford without going lunchless for a month or six. :flower:

wow, 1 article and everybody is jumping on the guy

do not believe everything you read;)

Id agree, Manolo's for the most part are severly overhyped, they're incredibly BORING, dull. It's always the same thing over and over again, nothing is ever new.

I agree, Monolos are overhyped and there are much more interresting brands out there.
