heres my question: are you all in serious debt from just ONE pair of these?! i cant see anyone (minus the very wealthy) being able to afford these shoes without having to starve for months and hold off on paying the bills. for a price of one pair of shoes, you could have a months worth of rent bills!! yes they are amazingly beautiful, but whyyyyy the price? and if the heels are so short to the majority, why buy it anyway? it just confuses me. highfashion is soo overpriced. is it the 400% markups that make it exclusive? would you buy them if they only cost $100? not looking for any harsh backlash, just stating what i think..

although i do like the open toed pumps above!

high fashion isn't overpriced... they charge what people will pay, and people WILL pay it...

i don't own a single pair of Manolos, but I still post in this thread... alot of us are like that...

As for me, I've bought some seriously expensive shoes, and I'm not exactly "very wealthy". It's just a matter of people managing money differently. Some find ways to afford things, some don't.

To keep this thread on topic, I don't think I've ever seen a pair of Manolos that really made an impression on me.

Wow... non-basic Manolos that I actually like!! The only Manolos I've ever really cared for were the basic pointed-toe stilletos and the mary janes (in BLACK).

I've never worn a pair, and I'm sure they're quite comfortable for heels, but I think Manolo Blahnik is overrated.

Unfortunately I"m one of those people spending my money blindly - yeah I pay all my bills and everything else that I have to do but I am definitely willing to go without lunch for a good pair of shoes (I don't even like to have lunch to tell you the truth). I'm not wealthy I'm a student - to me it doesn't matter if you like something and you're willing to make sacrifices for it then it doesn't matter if your behaviour seems crazy (my family thinks I'm nuts for wasting so much money on Manolos but that's another story). Besides some people like to spend money on CD's, on electronic equipment, on video games...I like shoes can't help myself and in all honesty I don't want to help myself.

I admit that I have several pairs of Manolos and that at the time I bought them it was probably not the best use of my funds. I did get into a little credit card trouble over my purchases but I cleared it up.

That said I am going to a wedding in June and have been searching for a pair of balck satin d'orsays. I tried on all brands of shoes in all price ranges and when I slipped my feet into a pair of Manolos they fit like a glove and I fell in love all over again. Even husband had to admit that they were perfect!

Sometimes no other shoe will do, they just make you fell beautiful.

Reading the post about Manolo Blahnik sizing i am getting worried here...I dont usually wear closed shoes but this one i saw at Manolo and loved it...I ordered the same size i wear on sandals and i am worried now that they wont fit..( i ordered the shoes online, they are a beauty)
