what do you all think of these boots? Can't decide if I like them enough to buy plus I'm not sure what size I should get. Boots are hard to get an insole measurement. ebay.com
I have those and LOVE THEM! I am a 39 in pumps so I got these in 39 and they fit!

grrr, I ordered my new manolos on March 17th, and they still haven't arrived!! I just called fedex, there was a delivery problem and they should come tomorrow, but come on, they were sent March 20th from san francisco, tomorrow is going to be March 29th, does it really take 9 days to get from california to boston?? are they coming by donkey??

sorry, needed to vent...I want to see my shoes already :buzz:

its okay! I never ship ground bc its all screwed up. I would rather pay more and get them for sure in 2 days

ok manolo-owning ladies, I need advice!!

the shoes came (patent leather mary janes), and they're gorgeous, but they're not very comfortable. It's not the heel or anything, I'm super used to wearing heels. They just seem really rigid and they pinch my feet a tiny bit in one spot. In a normal leather shoe, this wouldn't worry me because I know they would mold and stretch to my foot with use. Will the patent leather be the same? Will it become more comfortable??

hey there...maybe go a .5 size up? these do stretch but I suggest trying a .5 size up....

I usually wear a 7, sometimes a 7.5, rarely an 8, I got a 7.5 in these, you think I should go even more up? do these tend to run small?

what size in manolo pumps do you wear?

also your feet might be swollen since its the end of the day...

try again in the morning. or try putting them on and just sitting not walking around...

I got my patent mary janes in my normal size and then had to go back and swap half a size up. I didn't want to wear them in to the extent that they were 'unswappable' and still not stretched enough. I am glad I did it, as the larger size is much more comfortable and hasn't stretched beyond my foot size or anything weird. Patent is like steel armour, it's unmovable!

I have narrow. when I got them they were tight but after a few uses they did stretch out a bit

Do you ever have to get made to measure? My cobbler is a genius with shoes, luckily for me, so he can stretch if I need without wrecking my shoes. He advises me on sizes and I totally trust him with all things shoe related.

I got the Manolo boots. They fit everywhere except the top where it zips to the top. There is about a half inch or so where I really have to squeeze. There is to much room around the ankles then very snug at the top. I have muscular legs. Any suggestions on how I can stretch them out at the top?

Here are pics. As you can see the top of my calf feels like a sausage. The boots are actually comfortable everywhere else. Should I take them back or do they look ok?

aspen! I think you can take those to a shoe repair store and have them stretched out.....

what city do you live in?

update on my mary janes saga....

went to saks, tried on the 8, they fit more comfortabley but almost too big, the 7.5 looked more attractive on my foot, even the SA said I looked a little like I was swimming in the 8's...

however, the 7.5 aren't super comfortable, so they may just be getting returned, for the money, I need perfect shoes

bummer. try them on a few more times before you send them back. or sit with them on at your desk to see if they get better?

I just ordered the brown patent mary janes on the neiman's website. I sized up half a size (wear an 8.5, ordered a 39) ... that is correct, right?

How do they look when "stretched out"? Cool or just battered?

Campari Mary Janes

Hey everyone, haven't posted before but really need someone's help!! I have just bought a pair of patent campari mary janes in black in size 40.5. I am normally a size 40 in heels/pointy shoes in general, although wear a 39 in Prada (but they come up big right?!) Do you think the 40.5 will be OK? Also do they release the campari every season now? I always thought they were a nightmare to get hold of in black and was feeling really pleased with myself :p until thought maybe whilst I have been out of the Manolo loop they have become really available? I love the shoe anyway as a style, but just wondered about history of it really, like when the black patent was first done, etc. I am in London and always thought they were like never even available in the boutique here... Not sure though. Anyway I love this thread, you all have very beautiful shoes and are truly shoe oracles. I need to read more of TFS! If anyone can help let me know...Thanksxxxx :D

^the ones I got (same shoe) in a 37.5 were too small for me (I usually wear a 37, sometimes 37.5), but the 38 were too big....so unfortunately, I don't think you'll know until you can try them on in real life...

I don't know the history, but I know when I was considering getting them everyone told me to snatch up the campari ones now because the color was seasonal and probably not going to be around for long.
