...does anyone know what "stingray" is? i gather that it refers to the material used to make the shoe. it just looks so interesting.

they are in right now. they are opening m-f 10:30am eastern standard time till 6pm.........and saturday 11-5.

I don't think they ship overseas though......

okay, they don't ship o.s. unless you've shopped there before but since my details have changed since then, it's a no go.

i'll be in ny in about a month anyway. if they're there, then great. if not, they're just not meant to be. sigh.......

anyway, nm has the camo sedaraby (and they ship overseas!) and wintotty's pics from a few pages back looks great. how has everyone found the sizing? is the general rule to half size down from your normal manolo size?

my sedaraby was 1 size too big.
i am a 38.5 in closed toe shoes
38 in sandals
and 37.5 in sedaraby :)

thanks leyla. i'll order a 39 and see how i go.

I recently bought my first pair of Manolos, in silver the sedarby style 'stolen shoes' from SATC. I totally  them and now I'm hooked (also after seeing Guccigal's collection  ). My question is I bought them in a 38.5, now I'm usually a US 8.5, size 8 for Gucci and J.Crew flats which I think run big and 39 in some shoes b/c of the width issue. Do you all think I would still be a 38.5 in other Manolos? I'm wondering b/c of all the great deals on Ebay. Is it enough to have measurements to go by?

Thanks! :flower:

Has anyone had problems with Manolo heels breaking? I've had 2 pair and the super-skinny heels broke! I don't know if it's the shoe or how I wear them.

It's never happened to me with any other shoe. :(

A stingray is the critter that killed Steve Irwin, "The Crocodile Hunter" recently.

I get to meet Manolo himself next week!

he is coming to Neiman Marcus here. I am going to bring a picture of me in my wedding dress wearing Manolos....my yellow suede Manolos that I got married in! I may cry!

you lucky woman, guccigal! it would be great if you could take photos and post them here.

out of curiosity what is the most collectible shoe from past seasons and also this season?

my favorite is the one in post #1161. can I still get that?

luckyme... in post 1161 that is the most collectable for this fall.

are you in the USA? pm me and I will give you my manolo lady to call.

guccigal, thanks so much for your help. I got the makala's, my very first manolo's. I think its a good start and they fit right in with my shoe style preferences. I much prefer manolo's to loubtoutin's because of the personal nature that he seems to put into each design. After I read the article in the national geographic I wanted to own a pair of his shoes.

I had a ring-lizard mule's heel break on me in 2005. I had them redone and covered with black calf.

Switching subject, there is a woman at a consigner I frequent in SoCal who has a large MB foot (41). I appreciate her castoffs:

This pic is just to illustrate...mine were less than $100.
