I had a baby a few months ago and am now a stay at home mom. Now I have to revamp my entire shoe collection.

True, you'll need some flats but to be honest I found it a perfect time to get back into heels after the heavy being pregnant period. The pram gives you something to cling onto while you remember to walk in heels (if you ever forgot). I went even more berserk than normal It's only now she's a toddler I'm having problems with heels ......

okay so i was planning to get the fatakata to go with my new thakoon dress...however i tried the dress on this w/e with my new patent mary janes and feel like they go pretty well.

what do you guys think? do you like the dress better with my new mary janes or definitely better with the fatakata..? please keep in mind the fatakata comes with black heel...in case that matters. aren't black heels not flattering?? anyway, the 2nd pic is how it was shown on the runway

or your new bronze shoes too. order the Fatakata too just to see but the ones you want are white...so it will change the look up

^^ i also say wear the shoes you have. personally i think the dress is so amazing that it looks great with a simplier shoe - i would not normally say this, but i REALLY like this dress and u do not want to take away from it - so stick to a single color shoe.
u could always get the fatakata for another outfit .....or as shopping suggests maybe in all black.

ilovepositano, go with the shoes you have, more original than doing the complete runway look....

i would love to see that dress with a red or fuschia shoe, imo.

gucci - did u size up for the malaka? i ordered the 38.5 and they seem tight in the toes
also when i called nm they said they have another shoe that is similar shape in the toe in blue (navy?) patent with a red heel - have you seen them?

cabbage shoes part deux

ok, i got my white dvf dress today from nap and tried them on with the cabbage shoes. i still think they are fab with the green tbags dress w/ the derek lam black clutch. please let me know your thoughts, good and bad! much appreciated!

also, please let me know your thoughts on the tofi shoes (also worn with white dvf dress)

Heads up! I was at the Jason Wu show last night and found out that he designed all the shoes and boots for his fall/winter collection with Manolo! It's not certain where they'll be sold yet but I expect at Neiman's or Saks for sure since his collections are at select stores already.

The tall ankle boots were satin and featured several satin straps. Lustable!

been away from this thread for awhile since i'm moving but lots of lovely new purchases! Love the white dvf dress. I got a super similar dress in purple and it's super comfy. it looks great with the cabbage!

thanks so much, everyone! i think i will stick to my mary janes for the dress, and maybe try to see the fatakata....if it looks very good on, then i imagine i would have to get them for fun anyway!

shopping: i really like the white dress with the cabbage shoes. i'm jealous they look so good on you. the tofi looks great on you too, but i prefer the cabbage on you-- it looks gorgeous, younger, but more fun. especially pairing the white with the cabbage!
