I have found a black patent mary jane manolo that i've been wanting for years!!! ,The bad news is...i dont think i want it that bad anymore...... ,because of my recent obsession with round toe shoes ,because this mary jane is really really pointy,i prefer CLs over Blahniks these days......,Do you think i should get it anyway,in case i would regret that i had passed on it someday?????

Although CL now has a new pointy mary jane, I think the 4+ inch version of Manolo's Campari mary janes have no peer. They must not be too big, though.....fit is important to look their best, imo.

i prefer pointed mary janes as well since it makes the feet look more slender. round toed mary janes makes my feet like wide and the round toe is very school-girl-ish IMO. and i think for work, the pointed ones are more professional looking.

I love my pointed mary janes because i think they make my legs look thinner. i think they are classic and will never go out of style. I have never tried the CL ones though.

I think with a mary jane style, which is "cutsey" and "little girlish" already, a round toe takes it too far into this childish territory. A pointed toe is more unexpected and makes it more strong/agressive. takes away that childishness. Also I don't like round toe shoes because they make my feet look fat

purseprincess, i prefer the manolo campari to the cl round toes. i think it looks more classic. plus for me, they're really quite comfortable. i have the four inch pair and i love them. i generally prefer pointier toes though, because i think they make my thighs looks slimmer....

cavanaugh, the cabbages are 105mm or roughly about 4 inches. they're comfortable like most manolos. not sure if i can go the distance with a 5 inch heel but yes, they do look hot with that heel height, as shown by guccigal from previous posts. i have limited access to most retailers so i get what i can!

aaaahhhhh! i wish i knew you were looking for them posi!! the shoes were 30% off yesterday from the nm private sale event! (only 3 manolo styles went on sale.) they are definitely still available at NM stores. let us know if you obtain these babies!

i got myself a pair but will need to pick them up from the store later this week. didn't have time to shop yesterday (well, in store i mean).

i was at my local NM yesterday (first time at the shoe department) and they had the cabbage shoes there sitting out just like all the other shoes!! Unfortunately they weren't in the greatest condition and there was a pink stain on them from something and they weren't my size anyway but i was surprised at the great selection they had! So many beautiful styles!

posi - there were no MBs on sale during the sale online, only in-store. i just happen to call SF to inquire which brands went on sale and when the SA said Manolos, i prayed to the shoe god that the lucite ones would be one of the sale shoes.

what size do you wear? i can check with my SA on friday when i go pick them up. i bought 2 of them - one size 36.5 and one size 37 (i don't know which size wil fit me), so maybe he can swap one of them with your size? i'll inquire on friday for sure! just be sure to tell me your size!
