^ JetSet do let me know when you come to visit your sister. We have incredible shopping in SF..we should meet up. Barneys is like a slice of CL/MB heaven! There is also a FootCandy in Walnut Creek:shock:

I will look into the 'Flour'^_^ season protectant perhaps a local cobbler carries it.

Ladies... I am dying to know..any plans for the SATC release next weekend?:woot:

Ciao Bella!!!! I have really missed you! I kept thinking about you and your move. Congrats on your new job! Hope all is settling well.

Sayrahtee! I sooo need to call you. We need to hang out and somehow avoid spending oodles of money on shoes!!!! So funny you are talking about this subject! I just treated mine today! I got this stuff called "flour Seasons Weather Guard" from a good NY cobbler who said it was the best stuff available. They look good so far...no color change or whatever....

The can says "Protects leather, suede, nubuck, and fabric from water and oil-based stains."

BlkLadyLaw Simply stunning! I love those shoes so much , it's crazy!

Also, here is a link to many Manolos that will be on Sale starting May 27 at Barneys New York

Thank you a million for the product review, JetSet! Me and my Zebras thank you!

And yes - we do need to get together. I'm looking forward to it! Let's talk soon!

I couldn't find the Four Seasons Weather Guard that JetSet recommended, but bought Meltonian's Water & Stain Protector. The shoe guy swore that it would work on fabric as well, but since I was nervous about using it on my Zebras, decided to stop into the Manolo boutique.

The sales associate told me that most Manolo Blahniks come into the store pre-treated, but that this spray (and others like it, like the Four Seasons Spray) is fine to use on fabrics (as well as leathers, suedes, etc) as long as it's a fine coat sprayed from the proper distance.

However, he also said that many shoe service stores, including the one at which I purchased this cleaner, can clean fabric shoes should something stain them. It's like a dry cleaning or a spot cleaning process, and it works quite well even on whites.

The important part of all this is this: My sales associate told me to keep in mind that if I used a spray cleaner on my shoe, it will make it harder to clean at the shoe store because it puts another layer on top of the fabric. It will protect it from getting dirty, but more difficult to clean should something really stain it.

I think I'm still going to use the spray to prevent the inevitable scuffs and scrapes (I try hard to be gentle on my shoes but I'm so clumsy), and will bring them in to be professionally cleaned if I drip something like a fruit smoothie on them.

Hope this helps!

Wow Sayrahtee! Thanks for the thorough research! Great info to know!
I actually wore mine today for the first time....so fun! I also realized why mine were less expensive than your beauties. They don't have that gorgeous detail on the heel that yours does...*sigh*
You really scored with that pair. :flower:

Is this the one? I haven't seen the movie yet.

Supposedly, they will be available starting June 9th for $885.

guccigal07, I can't wait either!

But I do think it looks a bit like Viver...I wish they have a higher heel.
