I love them but something is rubbing on my foot....the side where the elastic is hidden. I am not used to that. boo.

I am actually returning those too. I think they are lovely but since they are python they are $$$.

I have so many things that I need to be more picky!

Thanks for the nice comments. Will post pics this week!

Oh guccigal...but those are so lovely! I would agree if they aren't comfortable...

I do love them.....but they are like $900 or something because they are python. I do love them. I love the shape of the shoe but I am not feeling moved.

i am still in love with my Ringos
did i mention i ordered an almost identical style from rupert sanderson in white patent and turquoise satin?!!! :woot:
i think i will grab the black ones if i ever come across them :shifty:
they are sooo soo good!

I love some of the designs but manoloes heel shape and placement bothers me on some shoes. The toes are sometimes too long and it's a shame becuase his designs are so whimsical and pretty!

I agree completely...the toe box looks so dated and stale lately...I don't think I've noticed that before but whenever I see them now, I can't describe how much the toe shape bothers me...what a shame:doh:

Is there a chance that I might still be able to get these black lizard-skinned sandals with an asymmetrical strap in sz 39 anywhere? NeimanMarcus.com had the silver version available awhile back. Tips/information are highly appreciated!

the ones in the first pic came with a feather across them...they are called Dianamus...call your local NM for them..they had them in stores and at the boutique in NY.

I have seen the feathered ones (you posted pics ^_^), but I wonder if they come without feathers? Either way, I'll call the boutique. Thanks for the style name, GucciGal!

LibertyRose- I went to my local NM(Houston) and I saw the black lizard shoes. They're on sale. I don't know if they had a 39 because I was just looking at my sizes (37). Just give them a call and ask them to do a search. Good Luck!

make sure you have the SA look at the feathers. Neimans tends to mistreat delicate shoes....

^sale items such as shoes are definitely worth it  they add character to your whole outfit :flower:

libertyrose, those CH are really pretty.

Since it's quiet, I would love to share the story of my favorite Manolo Blahnik purchase.

Two or three years ago, I saw the Specari Mary Jane on the internet and instantly fell in love with them. They had already sold out, though, so I tried to put them out of my mind as something that would ever be on my feet.

This past summer I moved to Manhattan and I decided to buy a pair of Blahniks for my birthday. I really liked a pair of open-toed red slingbacks that were in the Blahnik boutique, but they didn't have my size. One of the store assistants suggested I try Barney's or Bergdorf's, that perhaps they had my size in red.

I'm not a huge fan of Bergdorf's but I love Barney's, so I headed there first. While Barney's had the red open-toed slingbacks, theirs had a lower heel and not the fabulous 4 inch heel I really liked on that shoe. (It turns out that Bergdorf's DID have the exact shoe. However, I never made it over there...)

But it didn't matter, because Barney's also had the cream Specari Mary Jane that I had fallen in love with so long ago. There was only one pair left in the company in my size and in cream. When I wore them again on Christmas this year, I thought about their story and it made me love them even more.

So (again, since it's quiet) what's your favorite Blahnik story?

Ah, that's a great story. I think the harder it is to get your dream shoes the more you'll love them.
