MARC by Marc Jacobs bags (November 2005 - November 2010)

^Diggiloo, I'll have a look round for you. I also live in Europe. I saw some in that colour on some US websites, probably Eluxury or Shopbop that don't deliver to Europe. I got mine from NAP.

There is another version of this bag that is really similar except more of a shopping bag style. It still has the two pockets on front and side (maybe a bit smaller) but there is only one zip on the front. The bag has a zip opening and the studs are the on the front. I saw one in Chicory in Harvey Nichols, Manchester.

Okey, I was just wondering since the bag is more then 100 $ cheaper if you buy it from the states than from my local dealer...

And I think I know which bag you're talking about but I fint the hobo style more appealing

OK, so i gave in and finally cut the bag's umbelical cord (ie its tag...)I'm getting used to the weight and i must say i'm pretty darn satisfied...thans everyone for the feedback and advice!

I just ordered the mauve luxy Faridah off of bluefly...i love the shape of the bag, the colour...AND the price..with all discounts it ended up being about $190 USD...but stupid canadian shipping is $34....

anyways, enough of that .i don't mind logos as long as they're subtle....but the luxy as you can see has marc jacobs spelled all over it (literally). it's scrambled..so it's not so bad...but I'm kinda regretting that i bought it now.

Can someone please tell me that the embossed letters are subtle! it would make me so relieved! I hate buying (expensive) things online because I can't see it/feel it in person....but the deals are always in the states/online

if anyone owns the bag, can you let me know how it is in terms of function/ease of use, the leather etc. TIA

i know that mello had a bag from this collection but in a different color. the embossing is fairly subtle, but still there...pretty IMO

I kill for the worn in leather on this bag, it has even caught the ink from my black jeans so it has a blue ombre on the sides... and a bit of pink from a blush i tried to rub off it. Its beautifully beat up and I love it.

^^ I believe that Cameron Diaz is holding a SWEET PUNK tote from the Marc Jacobs Resort 2006 Collection.

I don't know if you'll be able to find it anymore I know the leather bags from the Sweet Punk line are $1000-$2000 USD...but since the one she's holding is canvas..it might be cheaper.

Anyways, hope that helps. Ask the people on the Marc Jacobs collection thread..they'll prob know more. or you can always call to check.

Try calling the Marc Jacobs Accessories store on Bleeker in NYC. I'm pretty sure they have a bunch of older bags in their storeroom. Maybe they have it, or know where to find it.
