Hot colour but I have never been a fan of M.J bags..

That style is the Venetia. The one that supernerd posted is canvas with leather trimming.

I love that bag, supernerd. I have the all-leather Venetia in black. It's a large bag and rather heavy. The mostly canvas structure on that one you posted makes it lighter than the leather version. I also really like that new shade of pink that many of the Marc Jacobs bags are available in for the Sp2004 group. It's a great bag.

are the straps on the venetia long enough to throw over your shoulder? i really like the canvas version of it!

well, the all leather one is $975.00 (eluxury.com has it)
and i saw the leather/canvas combo on ashford.com (for $950.00)
you can also find it at http://www.net-a-porter.com in several diff't colors!
i want it for the spring to lug my stuff around in for work
but i wasn't positive that i can throw it over my shoulder....

The veneita is not intended to be worn on the shoulder. The original had VERY short handles, the ones around 02/03 had slightly longer, but still short straps. For resort and SS04 he did make some that had longer handles that could be put on a shoulder. Now they are back to the inbetween. You might be able to jam it, but really the bag is not meant to be a shoulder bag. Consider a stella or large multipocket for that.

Ok I was just looking at some venetias online, and maybe I was wrong. It looks like they may still be at the longerish handle length and can be worn slightly easier on the shoulder.

I have two Venetias, and neither would fit comfortably over the shoulder. My Stella is one of the originals with the suede lining, and it has rather short (albeit adjustable) handles as well. The multipocket that would probably make the best shoulder bag would be the Sophia, aside from some of the newer designs that I've seen on Saks and NM's sites.

i have the stella, the new one from eluxury with the suede lining and it fits comfy over my shoulder when the straps are at it's shortest. do you think that's comparable to the venetia handles/ i just really liek the look of the canvas wtih it, i hadn't seen that before! thanks for all the input!
