help!
my mom is in search of the MJ sophia.
i haven't been able to find it on eluxury.com, i don't even know if this bag will be a part of the current line?

does anybody know offhand if the strap for the sophia is longer than the stella? she doesn't want it to hang too low, but would prefer it to kind of hug her armpit, i guess.

if anybody can suggest where i may find the sophia, i think my mom is looking for just the staple black color.

In addition to the "New Sophia" shown above in pink (with silver pushlock closures), you can also still order the reissued "classic" version with brass buckles at Neiman Marcus (it is part of the limited edition reissue

They have it in black and in white; I bought it in black at the beginning of the summer, and I love it. The lining is a buttery colored suede, and it is a very nice shoulder bag, with three interior compartments (two zipped, one closing with a magnet).

Just wanted to add that it is $975, but I think the difference in price is worth it, as this is the more "iconic" MJ bag.

Another edit: the strap length is adjustable (see the picture above) so you can shorten or lengthen it quite a bit by moving the buckles on both sides. I have it as long as it will go, and it hits me at the hip (I'm about 5' 5'').

the sofia is one of his best styles, and one of the first. I would get the original though, I'm not wild about the big shiny nickle hardware.
