Versailles’ Petit Trianon inspired Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig’s resort collection, which was fit for a princess off duty, like Marie Antoinette in her garden getaway. Thus, the designers took some of the grandeur out of their signature designs, resulting in a lovely, light and more commercial take on their romantic gestures. Dresses came hand-painted, embroidered with feathers and delicate floral appliqués in a range of pale sky colors. A charming short lace shirtdress with a sharp collar worked the more casual side of cocktail, while a blue Grecian gown exuded soft glamour.
