quite frankly: its an amazing idea to make it in this sort of washed leather to give it this slouchiness.
but i can guarantee this is what happened.
these bags are done by everyone and anyone in the counterfeit industry... every time i go to san remo i see them. amazing leathers used and finishing is also great but they are so blatantly fake that people just buy them not even knowing it refers to the hermes birkin.
i am sure one of the olsens just happened to buy it or got it as a gift from somewhere and carried it and suddenly marco tagliaferri cam out of the market stalls into the limelight!
i can pretty much guarantee you that this bag would not have been sold over 200 Euros before it got the fame...
still nice though so post away whoever got it at a great deal!
Well, I think you are wrong Marco Tagliaferri is an actual designer that are featured a lot on Japanese websites, he does amazing leather jackets. And his prices are quite high.
I am sure Ashley just wears what she loves, I have tried to gotten hold of the bag forever but it's not really made anymore, it's also really hard to get hold of any info, so he did not just 'come out' after the Olsens carried them.. they also seem to love things that are only 'exclusive' and that they really love.
i know he does ready to wear specialising in leather....
my question, does anyone on here knew of him before this bag?
Was the bag sold out and sought after before the pics of one of the Olsens carried it?
I am just wondering because i honestly see tons of this and doubt it is considered exclusive...
i am actually stating the opposite to what you said that the Olsens only like exclusive things.. but i do agree that they wear whay they love and thats where is see this bag coming in, not for the exclusivity.
please dont get me wrong, but a bag that so much resembles the Birkin (which i do consider exclusive) must be purely loved because of the one thing most birkins dont have, the 'ultra slouchiness'.
there is nothing wrong with that.
having said that i would love to be proven wrong if someone has had heard of him before the olsens
There were a few mentiones of him on threads on this forum about marco T. before.. I tried doing a search.
The thing is-- his bags really are not everywhere, I think it's fair that he charges that much after all --he is a designer, there are many designers inspired by the Birkin, this is just a more "beat p" version, it's tougher..
what do you see tons of? The bag? I have tried calling his showroom several times without anything, the picture of his bag that i posted i found on google when i get redirected to the website is from old seasons ago, so he has been doing these bags from qite some time-- in terms of exclsive is that EVEN if you had money you would not be able to locate this bag, or else so many more on this/other forums would have one!
A bag always get recognised when a celeb carry it.. that's why we got the it-bags everyone is guilty of it.
honestly, i know this bag the 1st time when seeing the olsen carrying it!
but the olsen is not the reason i want this bag.
i'm loving slouch leather bags like balenciaga, and this one seems like having the same leather type with a more "formal" touch
guess what, i get the chance to have the medium size
but it's in brown well, not in blakc as i expect it, but i'm also thinking of getting a blakc chanel cerf, so do u think the brown one is as pretty as the black one?
here's the pics the seller sent me :
hmmm she said it's 12.5" (top) x 14" (bottom) x 6.5", approx., 6" or so handle drop
but i love big bags LOL so, i would love if it turns out to be the larger one
