I quite like that picture. Looks kinda creepy, and I don't know if they took Martin Parr's work as inspiration for this. Her smile in this ed it's like a campy/pop nightmare, and I like when editorials take that direction. I don't care her lipstick color here. It's not rare to see unwearable clothes and make-up in fashion editorials. It's part of the fantasy, so why not?! These colors makes me think about late 70s or mid 90s. So kitsch.
I read more about Marfa, and their goal is trying to mix arts and fashion. And they do multiple covers for each edition. So this one won't be the only cover for this season.
