What... in the frosted lipstick hell
I didn't look carefully at the ed and thought that you posted a random image to make fun. I can't believe they really decided to use this photo.

lately i feel that some niche and pretentious magazines are there just for the sake of it but in reality shouldn't exist...

I like the retro vibe from it, but the cheap 70s yellow stars here are not my favorite option to cover her. What a strange name is Marfa. I only remember Agyness comeback issue from them, and that's it. It belongs to those More And Less or MAStermind magazine projects.

Both fashion editorials featuring Kendall and Hooper are terrible. The Kendall story in particular needs good editing.

How dare you insinuate I would EVER pull out one random image of a poor editorial to make fun of it.

It looks like she just finished eating a powdered donut!!

I quite like that picture. Looks kinda creepy, and I don't know if they took Martin Parr's work as inspiration for this. Her smile in this ed it's like a campy/pop nightmare, and I like when editorials take that direction. I don't care her lipstick color here. It's not rare to see unwearable clothes and make-up in fashion editorials. It's part of the fantasy, so why not?! These colors makes me think about late 70s or mid 90s. So kitsch.

I read more about Marfa, and their goal is trying to mix arts and fashion. And they do multiple covers for each edition. So this one won't be the only cover for this season.

I get the feeling I can look forward to many more lingerie-as-fashion editorials in the months ahead, where it's forbidden to make any of it seem sexy because that just wouldn't be modern.

The lipstick is ridiculous, but it's kind of fun in an Elaine Constantine type of way. I like the editorial.
