This is like London's "Boy Band of Outsiders" but with a British flare. I like it!

^^Hmm, I don't entirely agree with that comparison. I think Margaret Howell is much more refined and less trend-oriented than Boy by Band of Outsiders. Though I guess they both do appeal to a similar customer.

I really love this collection. I'd gladly wear all of this. I love how every piece looks like it could be worn as a basic or a statement piece, depending on how you style the whole look.

Every season I am amazed at all that Margaret does. All the while changing it up a bit but never losing that college country vibe.

so borring !!!! just nothing else than clothes making you looking like grandma

Agree on everything with you.

The styling reminds me of those tributes Encens magazine does to 80s stories or even just quotes, the whole voluminous silhouette with easy shoes (loafers, usually). I love love love it. And that last dress is divine.. I could probably collect these dresses that she does even season.. they're beautiful.

I kind of see Band of Outsiders as the classic/quality American sportswear brand for now (maybe polo/RL was that in the 80s), although they do have "themes" for their shows, and yeah, this year they had evening wear too.

Maybe Steven Alan's collection is a better comparison?

Anyhow, BofO and Margaret Howell both make classic pieces but yet there is something about them that is very grounded in America and Britain respectively. That was the main comparison I was making. Perhaps America, in general, is more trend-oriented?

I love the second look here so much.

Yeah, I think I get what you're saying. Everything about Maragret Howell is so entirely British without actually using any references or trying to look British, it just is. But I think Boy by BofO tries a bit more in that department. I just had a look at their website actually and they post a lot of vintage pictures and 'typical American' stuff so it seems more like they're trying to re-create that American look.
I must admit that I'm not too familiar with Steven Alan so I don't know if that's a better comparison :p

I've been out for a few days and this was one of the first collections I went looking for on the internet today. It's the kind of collection that needs to be seen in HQ so that you can see how perfectly made and well fitted the pieces are. (thanks for posting it Psylocke)
The hair was lovely too, and so was the (minimal) makeup. Everything was effortlessly elegant, as usual.
