That's actually Madeleine D'Arcy - not Marianne - in the above photo with Tony Sanchez (Keith's drug dealer). Tony wrote the book "Up and Down with the Rolling Stones." He left his wife and children for Madeleine, who was a heroin addict and died in the 70's of an overdose. Marianne was very good friends with her and even wrote a song about her.

has anyone noticed that marianne has aged much better than anita even though they were both drug addicts and are still heavy smokers. i mean, anita looks horrible now and she used to be so beautiful when she was younger.

To anyone that loves Marianne, I recommend her autobiography. I got it on Ebay and have read it 2 or 3 times. Alot of it is about her time with Mick and the Stones so if you're a fan of them you might like it too. It has alot of Anita in it too, and talks about how she and Bryan used to dress crazy, even for the 60's, and would take hours of trying on each other's clothes to get ready. She even gives her own recollection of the whole "mars bar incident"!

I not only love her style, but her music and just saw her live last spring. Her latest album, Before the Poision is her best yet.

I agree with you about Marianne's biography. Its a wonderful insight into both Anita and Mariannes world at that crazy time, everything is described so beautifully. In regards to Anita looking worse for wear, im pretty sure she was a "heavier" user a while before Marianne.

I am surprised Marianne can remember so much of it, let alone lived through it! She and Anita liked to live on the edge.

She had such a sweet style during the early part of her career before the drugs come into play....but really cool when one thinks of the contradicting contrast of the sweetness and then her more moody sophisticate transistion.

anita looks horrible now and marianne just looks like everybody else at this age.. although she has put on some pounds in the last couple of years..
