i don't get it, she's flawless in her candid style, and i mean flawless, but her RC outfits aren't doin it for me, they're often even on the verge of just being disgusted with them.

It's not really hard to get, actually. The Dior contract ruined her red carpet style. It wouldn't shock me if I found out that she has no less than 5% input in her red carpet looks. She seems to have zero freedom.

well the reason why i don't get it is cus i think there just can't be such a distorsion when it comes to her taste depending on the event/non-event. as you said, the only reason to this might be that she's just given clothes and after that obligated to wear it (RC things) which i might buy, but it's really hard to believe that she has zero input in it all, that her Dior contract is so overwhelming and overbarring.

I think it's because Galliano's kind of 'lost' it. If you look back a few years ago when he was dressing Charlize Theron. He designed stunning custom-made dresses for her. She seems to be the same lately wearing boring Dior dresses. Not to mention, she had more freedom and wore other designers a few years ago. It's a shame. If only she didn't have that contract when Dior started to suck.

^agreed, totally agreed. Galliano really lost it, such a shame. you can't work with something that's not being given to you to work with.

^ I think some of her Dior looks have been stunning.
But I do admit it's getting a bit unexciting waiting for a red carpet appearance, basically being 95% sure she's going to turn up in something from that season's collection.
I do wish she mixed it up a little bit more, but I guess we just have to remember that Part 3 of Lady Dior has just launched, so only one more to go.
Maybe then we'll get her amazingly gorgeous and experimental french style back!

Not to mention that she'll be promoting a new movie soon which will mean little party frocks.
Most of those last year were not Dior but instead Lanvin, Westwood, Elie Saab etc etc.
Here's hoping!
