Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do think that she was a "leading actress" in the film Nine with Daniel Day Lewis which was an English speaking role. The supporting actresses in the cast included Judi Dench, Sophia Loren, Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz

i thought Penelope was seen as the lead actress for that movie? i just checked and she was listed as supporting actress by the Academy at the time, but that stuff is always debatable when it comes to ansamble movies.

tbh,when i checked IMDB for this latest movie it was noted this is her first leading role, so i went from there...

In all honesty, I think her son is the cutest baby in Hollywood. Such a sweetie. Anyways, I really love Marion's style but it's so funny that she dresses like such a little punk because her red carpet style would lead me to believe that she's a bit more classic. I love it either way.
