EXCLUSIVE LOVE-SPLIT RONSON NEEDS HIS PAL
18/02/2008
She has a lot to deal with as she battles her drug addiction, while her banged up hubby Blake languishes in jail.
But we can reveal pop diva Amy Winehouse is also a shoulder to cry on for her close pal Mark Ronson as he nurses a broken heart.
The super-producer is devastated after his split from long-term love American Cosi Theodoli-Braschi.
He is up for Best British Album for Version, Best British Single for Valerie and Best British Male Artist at Wednesday's Brits. And the 32-year-old dishy DJ, who spun Amy and Lily Allen to success, poured his heart out to us ahead of the glitzy awards show at London's Earl's Court.
He said: "It's sad times for me at the moment. I was dating my girlfriend for three years but we split up.
"I'm lucky I have good friends. Amy has been brilliant and is always there for me - and I'm there for her too."
But Mark wants to make it clear: allegations of an affair with married Rehab singer Amy, which surfaced last month, are absolutely unfounded.
Ronson, who produced her Back To Black album which won her five Grammy awards earlier this month, was accused of spending the night with the troubled 24-year-old after they were snapped leaving the K West hotel, in West London, together in the middle of the night.
However, Mark insists there was "no possibility" of a showmance. He said at the time: "I am sick of talking about it. Amy is a friend."
And that's why she's helping him get over his heartache.
He said: "It's all about the Brits now. I have a fantastic performance lined up with a lot of surprises."
Mark is set to rock the stage at the Brits, where he'll perform his hit Valerie with Amy, as well as Adele and Daniel Merriweather joining him on stage. And who knows, he might find love too...
If not, then Amy will be on hand to remind him Love Is A Losing Game.
