I just ordered Marc Jacobs Classic Venetia Bag $589.00 and it use to be $895 and I was at the store and it wasn't marked down so who knows if it's a mistake or not but they do have other styles on sale too, so order your bag now. They are current fall styles.

the seasonal colours always go on sale at the end of each season...black is never on sale...

i still want a small multipocket bc its so practical...

oh mjcouture, i was shocked as well! i've been wanting one forever, i don't care if they're "out" but you know what? actually, the black stella isn't on sale. if you add it to your barney's bag and cliick the checkout button, it will pop up as $975 as usual. however, if you pick peacock blue, the sale price is correct. so i settled for the sophia in maroon. (which said $895 as the price, but at checkout was $539!) i think it's a gorgeous color. barney's needs to fix it's site or else people may complain about false advertisement.

edited to say: i also wanted to quote mjcouture. i guess i forgot to click on it =D

Stella (pomegranate) & Venetia (sap green) $731 (was $975)
Sophia (maroon or seafoam) $691 (was $895)
Multipocket (pomegrante) $691 (was $895)

plus a bunch of the new fall styles...

i received an email today regarding my mj sophia bag, the subject was: your barney's order has been cancelled.

however, the status said: shipped on 11/29/04

The same thing happened to me, they canceled my order too and it said shipped as well but I called them and apparently it was out of stock. Then I check the site and most of all the sale bags were removed from the site. I think they posted the wrong prices and gave everyone some BS story. What a scam!

I saw tons of venetia bag on sale at the local Neiman. There were tan, indigo, seafoam, and olive green ones on sale for about $689. I guess they are really over now!
